Is your LDAP setting for "hide passwords" in the LDAP settings page set to "yes" or "no"? We found that switching it to "no" helped. I believe because it put a "not cached" phrase in the password field in the database and Google didn't like that.

Weird though because some got in and some didn't, who knows!

Also, in one of the gdata table in the database there was a tble or field that had everyone's failed attempts. Those failed attempts needed to be removed and then the very next time the user logged into Google it worked and created an account in Google.

It was all very quirky and I was able to solve things by trial and error. I'm no longer in that district so can't remember the exact tables and fields. Also, we are using the Gapps Directory Sync tool now.

Hi,
I am having exactly the same issue as above, I have about 2000 LDAP users on Moodle and when the cron is run, random amounts of users are syncing but the rest come up with Authentication Failed, but if I ran the cron again after, another random amount of users will sync. Please help.
Thanks
